Porter Airlines Canada (PD) launches Toronto (YTZ) - Nashville (BNA) service

Porter Airlines Canada has officially inaugurated nonstop round-trip service between Toronto and Nashville, adding a new air link between Canada’s dynamic urban centre and the culturally distinctive music capital of the U.S. South. The launch marks a notable step in the airline’s network expansion strategy from downtown Toronto airport, while providing an additional convenient option for both business and leisure travellers.

The new route links two highly attractive yet strongly complementary destinations: Toronto, Canada’s leading hub for finance, technology and innovation, and Nashville, where the entertainment, healthcare and service sectors are expanding rapidly. The addition of nonstop flights shortens journey times, increases schedule flexibility and creates a clear advantage for two-way traffic flows. As cross-border travel demand continues to recover, the route also underscores Porter Airlines Canada’s strategic push to strengthen its presence in the North American market and deepen connectivity from Toronto.

In the initial phase, the route is being operated several times per week before ramping up quickly to five round trips weekly. Porter is deploying the De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400, a high-speed turboprop well suited to regional sectors, supporting efficient operations and a convenient travel experience from an airport close to the city centre.
