Porter Airlines Canada (PD) launches seasonal Montreal (YUL) - Boston (BOS) service

Porter Airlines Canada has officially inaugurated its seasonal route between Montreal and Boston, adding a new air link between two of Northeast North America’s most distinctive cities. The service marks a further expansion of the carrier’s presence in the short-haul transborder market, where demand for business travel, visiting friends and relatives, and weekend leisure trips remains consistently strong.

The significance of this route extends well beyond a simple point-to-point connection. Montreal is Canada’s bilingual hub for culture, technology, aerospace, and creativity, while Boston stands out for its strengths in education, life sciences, finance, and innovation. By linking these two knowledge-based economic centers with nonstop service, travelers gain a more flexible option to reduce journey times, while Porter Airlines Canada sharpens its strategic positioning amid competitive pressure from Air Canada on this key corridor.

In the initial phase, the route is being operated daily, before transitioning to 5 weekly flights from early June. Porter Airlines Canada is deploying the De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400, a turboprop aircraft well suited to short-haul sectors, optimizing operating efficiency while providing convenient frequency for the market.
