Technical Issue Details
•Airbus A321-200N (EI-KGJ) was operating flight KC921 from Astana (NQZ) to Frankfurt (FRA) with 93 passengers and 9 crew members.
•While cruising at FL320 approximately 210nm southeast of Aktobe, the aircraft's right-hand engine failed.
•The malfunction of the PW1133G engine prompted the flight crew to drift down to FL200 and initiate a diversion.
Outcome / Handling
•The flight crew declared a PAN-PAN urgency signal to notify air traffic control of the engine failure.
•The aircraft diverted and landed safely on runway 12 at Aktobe Airport approximately one hour later.
